Elevator Pitch: My project is about the paradox "The Ship of Theseus". The ship of Theseus is a paradox created by Plutarch. The main idea explores identity through Theseus' ship, which gets repaired over time until none of the original ship remains. Is it still the Ship of Theseus? This is meant for all people who have some logical thinking skills. It's different from other paradoxes because it has a very simple explanation, but it can also be applied to deeper meanings of identity. My project will check for understanding by expanding on the paradox with Thomas Hobbes' extension; if the old parts of the ship are built into a new ship, is that now the new Ship of Theseus?
Project Description: We made a tutorial that explained something. Read elevator pitch for more information.

SOUL Reflection:
Strengths: A strength I had in this project was that I knew my topic, so I was able to make my project very in depth. Also, I used a lot of broadcasts that let the whole tutorial go smoothly. One specific thing is that the screen fades into black in between different scenes. I did this using broadcasts and the transparency effect.
Opportunities: An opportunity that I missed is that I chose a topic that isn't really interactive. It's hard to do a how-it-works on a mental problem. Instead, I had to ask the user their opinion, and change the outcome based on that opinion.
Understanding: A thing that I learned from this project is the extention of the ship of Theseus, and also how to use the transparency effect. The transparency effect is good because it helped me make the black background fade into existence.
Limitations: A bug in my project is that sometimes the wrong dialouge plays, but it's not so bad because the user doesn't know that they are suppoded to get a different dialouge. Another small issue is that the cosute for the circle parts of the ship change a little to early, and I was unable to figure out how to fix it (I tried to use a wait, but it didn't work)
Peer SOUL Reflection (Leila):
Strengths: Guin's visual effects were very cool! I loved the way the parts would skirt off the page and new parts would come into view. I really liked the way she explained The Ship of Theseus very clearly and then interacted with me and didn't fight with my opinion. There was even a music off button. Very considerate!
Understanding: I didn't know that the drawn parts could be moves in the way Guin's project moved them. That was very cool!
Note: I had Diana also look at my project, but she had to leave before she could give me a SU reflection
