Description: Design and create a pair of animals utilizing recycled bottle corks- Design on TinkerCAD, and prototype using the 3D printers. The design process consists of Brainstorming, Researching, CADing, and repeating until I was happy with my final product.
Brainstorm: The brainstorm that I had was the story. The story is about Burt the Bee, and Annie the Ant. Burt and Any were trying to bring food back to their houses, but a foot came into the grass, and Annie was squished. Burt was so heartbroke that he stung the foot with his stinger, and they both died.
Procedure: My job was to pick out the corks and measure the diameters and then CAD the enclosed rings and test print them to see if the rings fit the corks. After that I had to design my animal in TinkerCAD, and after many attempts, I was able to color and print my final products
First Ring (prototype, worked for both corks)
First Design
Second Design
WISCR: In this project I used R, because I helped other people around me if they needed help, I also used S because I was motivationg myselft throughout this projects.
Final Product!
Reflections (SOUL):
S- Some of the Strengths that I had were that I have a lot of experience with TinkerCAD and 3D printing so I was bale to print my tests much quicker.
O- An opportunity I had while I was making CorkPals was that I could have printed my Bumble Bee in a different color. I also could
U- Through this project I learned that I can change the unit measurement in TinkerCAD.
L- Some limitations that were present throughout this project were that I was having trouble with the camera in TinkerCAD, that I had trouble wit the measurements for the project, and that I had trouble with finding the story for my Cork Pals.
