Project 3

Brainstrom:For project 3 the task was to create a item that will help your daily life. Our teacher had us brainstorm on what I could possibly need for my life. I quickly realized that I need to organize my desk. The next class I looked up shapes that would be the most efficient. I found the shape that I was looking for the Hexagon. It is good for stacking and has a modern look. I quickly made a design using the modeling tool Fusion 360/

This is the first design I made for my desk organizer. I added hooks to the connectors, but they were too small to make a difference. The printer also messed up the bottom of the design, which you can see if you look closely. I had to make the design much bigger, as it was only one inch in length and could barely fit anything inside.

This is the first part of my desk organizer, which is a pencil holder. The other parts will be made at different heights to hold different objects and to look better.

Final Design:This is my 2nd hexagon the black one it fits into the white one. I printed a third hexagon to have more storage.

This was the solutions where all the pens and pencils are organized.

The problem was that I didn't have anywhere to put the pencils.

SOUL REFLECTION
Strength - I was pretty strong on designing the hexagons, but I should've made the connecter pieces in different sizes

Opportunities - I think that if I had finished fasters I could've found my problems earlier.
Understanding - I was able to practice with multiple functions in Fusion 360, including the polygon tool, sketch, and extrude.
Limitations - I think that the hardest restriction that I had too little time and that some models warp in a funny way.
WISCR REFLECTION
I think that I was able to hit the I, S,C, and R in WISCR. The I (Insightful and critical thinkers) was because I had to figure out a way to have all the hexagons connect. S (Self - motivated) was because I had to keep on going and make many designs. I have created over 6 revisons on my design. The C (Clear communicators), because I was able to communicate with our teacher to find a way to make my design possible. And finally, the R (Respectful individuals of character), I think I achived this quite well because I didn't get made at myself when I forgot to save.
