For Project 2 we were tasked for making a choclate mold for Mandarin 1A. The theme was their heritage. We are making the chocalte for the best outcome. The diamter of the circle is 2.5 inches across. I was assigned Adrian who submitted the design below.
The only problem with his desigin is that I couldn't make a dragon like his idea on a 2.5 circle. Also he made his choclate in a rectangle. To work around this I created 3 designs to try and incoraperate his design.I quickly created these deigns so he could view them as soon a possible.
My designs are using his ideas of bamboo, sun and moon or yin and yang, his name, and a dragon. I have been working on a sketches for number 2 and 3.
I made two different 3D models using Fusion 360. My first design (in green) had problems like one couldn't see the legs. On the second version (in white) I made the Yin and Yang bigger and I raised the legs. Later he agreed on my designs an Inwill make a final version.
This is my Fusion 360 model I finally made.
Today we started working on the molds. I reprinted my final design the white one.
SOUL Reflection:
S: I had a good Design, but I could've Made the design more in depth.
O: I could've added more detail.
U: That I should of used text to write the characetesr.
L: I Could've make the design deeper to show more.
WISCR I: I could've make the 3d printer design better that is the reason I didn't make a good looking mold.
This the mold I made with a silicon mold making kit. The only thing I had to work on was the walls were too high. I solved this problem by cutting the sides off with a knife Ms.Tran provided me with. Today I created the cholate sides.
