Description
Build the tallest structure you can in 30 min that can stay up at at least, 1 minute being souly built of straws and masking tape also it can only touches the floor
Brianstorm
We originally wanted to build squares by connecting the smaller straws with the bigger straws to conserve tape but that would take too long. So instead we built a wide base, we built this by getting 8 straws and combined them int 2 big straws and overlapped them into a semi sturdy base we tried to use some squares to reinforce it to keep it from collapsing.
procedure
After building the base we started to add a upside down version of the bottom and connected it with tape. And made all the legs point upward with a square and tape. Then we started to build a single straw up and up but we built this in haste and eventually broke at the end and we weren’t able to repair before the time ran out.
soul reflections
s - what worked, ur base and the reinforcing squares they were the most sturdy part of the tower
o - what didn’t work, the single long straw didn’t work because it started bending and breaking also the different personalities on the team did not work very well
u -I learned that teamwork is very important to having a successful project
l - In the end what prevented us from having a successful project was the not sturdy design the running amount of time.
Insight
I think our group is a Insight thinker when we are not being rushed because when we did are brainstorm we took our time and came up with a great base.
