Upper School Staff Plarning for Homeless
The upper school staff collected plastic bags and used them to plarn sleeping mats for the local homeless shelter.The staff created over 10 sleeping mats working together in teams during their department meetings.

Jessi Figard Receives Scholarship for Service in Mathematics
PLP Senior, Jessi Figard, was chosen to receive the Sallie Scudder Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 from Mu Alpha Theta. She was chosen as "an outstanding mathematics student who has shown loyalty and dedication to her Mu Alpha Theta chapter, enthusiastically participating in local projects with evidence of service in mathematics."This is a huge honor as only four students are chosen from across the country to receive this scholarship. Jessi has worked incredibly hard this year as our chapter's president to get our members more involved and participating in math activities (tutoring, pi day academic pep rally, math competitions, and STEAM day at the Ada Jenkins Center).
