To begin drawing a portrait you will first need to draw an egg shape. Remember that the narrow part of the egg points down as this will be the chin.
Draw a horizontal and vertical line HALFWAY down your head. This will be our “eye line”
Half way between the eye line and the chin, draw a second horizontal line. This is where the bottom of the nose and bottom of the ears will go
1/3 of the way down from the nose line, draw another horizontal line. This line divides the upper and lower lips
Draw in the eyes. To ensure the eyes are the correct size, you should be able to fit 1 eye in the center between them and eyes on either side
Draw in the nose. Nostrils should hit the bottom of the nose line
Draw the lips. The mouth line divides the upper and lower lip. The lip length of the lips are the same length from pupil to pupil
Draw in the eyebrows. The Eyebrows are slightly above your eyes. Then, Draw the ears making them level with the eyebrows at the top and they end at the nose line.
Draw in the hair - Any hair style
The thickness of a neck measures the same measurement from the outer edges of both eyes
