SESSION TITLE: Empower Students & Increase Class Participation ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜€

SESSION DESCRIPTION: In this session we will look at how to empower students by encouraging them to teach and interact with their classmates from home using Flipgrid! Participants of the PGSD Summer Tech Camp 2021 will be asked to participate in a Q&A on Flipgrid.com. We will also look at how to increase class participation by looking at classdojo.

SESSION TITLE: Scaffolding Text Comprehension: Investigate Close Reading to Support Grade Level Comprehension

SESSION DESCRIPTION: This session will give participants an opportunity to investigate the basics of supporting studentsโ€™ better comprehension of complex text. Participants will investigate close reading as a comprehension strategy and gain an understanding of the basic mechanics included in a lesson that utilizes close reading techniques. Participants will also investigate text analysis through text dependent questions to support comprehension and examine text annotation strategies that can help students learn to be better note taker to support comprehension.

You'll be saving on time (grading papers, running copies, analyzing data, etc.) and saving on paper (no more paper copies of every assessment for each student).
