Amy Manning has been in education for eleven years in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District. She is currently a curriculum and instruction specialist for the district and received her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Belhaven University. Previously, she taught fourth grade at Cherokee Elementary and sixth grade at Trent Lott Academy where she received teacher of the year in 2013 and 2018. In 2014, she received the Leo W. Seal Innovative Teacher Award. She has presented professional development at a variety of outside conferences such as MECA and MAMLE, as well as in-district training such as Tech Camp for Teachers and Students. She has also worked with MDE as an item writer for the state MAAP assessment, participated in the data review process for the state MAAP assessment, and is an active member of the MDE Teacher Council.
