Advocacy is a class period held every Monday between 2nd and 3rd period for 30 minutes. Advocacy is implemented to ensure our students receive district mandated information, digital citizenship expectations, non-cognitive readiness skills, and school-wide implementation of our school expectations, events, and student and teacher acknowledgements.
It used to be known as HOMEROOM! Students stay in the same advocacy class for the duration of their high school career. The advocacy teacher will read each student's name at their graduating ceremony! Our vision is that all students are able to establish positive and productive relationships with their advocacy teacher and classmates and feel connected to the PGHS community.
