CALL FOR PAPERS
Special Session on
Recent Developments and Applications of Optimization in Various fields: Linear and Non-linear Spaces, Manifolds, Mechanics etc.
Under the International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and Computational Intelligence (ICMSCI-2026)
February 20–22, 2026
The Department of Mathematics, P.G.D.A.V. College, University of Delhi, in collaboration with Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delhi, IIT Mandi and NIT Uttarakhand, cordially invites researchers, academicians, scientists, industry experts, and research scholars to submit their original and unpublished research papers for a Special Session on " Recent Developments and Applications of Optimization in Various fields: Linear and Non-linear Spaces, Manifolds, Mechanics etc." under the International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and Computational Intelligence (ICMSCI-2026).
This special session will survey recent theoretical and applied developments in optimization across linear and nonlinear spaces, covering convex and nonconvex optimization, variational and equilibrium problems, optimization on manifolds, and modern algorithmic techniques. Emphasis will be placed on unifying methodologies, efficient numerical algorithms, and convergence analysis, with applications in computational mechanics, including structural optimization, continuum mechanics, and multiscale modelling, as well as signal processing, machine learning, network optimization, and economic equilibrium models. The session seeks to bring together researchers to share cutting-edge advances, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and outline future research directions.
Optimization is a cornerstone of the mathematical sciences and computational intelligence. Advances in optimization theory and algorithms have a direct and profound impact on computational methods in data science, machine learning, control, mechanics, and engineering. This session aligns with the themes of ICMSCI-2026 by bridging rigorous mathematical developments in linear and nonlinear optimization with modern computational techniques and applications across the sciences and engineering.
