On March 27, 2025, student board members of Pennsbury Thespian Troupe #830 traveled to the Pennsylvania State Capitol to advocate for Theatre in Our Schools. During their visit, they met with Representatives John Prokopiak and Perry Warren, as well as State Senator Steve Santarsiero.
In recognition of their dedication to theatre education and the troupe's longstanding tradition of excellence, the students accepted an official proclamation and were honored on both the House and Senate floors. This special recognition celebrated the 70th anniversary of Pennsbury’s Thespian Troupe #830—a milestone marking decades of student achievement in the performing arts.
Representing the troupe were student leaders: Nathan Vereb, Charlotte Block, Hibah Abdellatif, Rosemarie Reeves, Emma Pepe, and Joshua Cahan. These students exemplify the leadership, passion, and commitment to arts advocacy that continue to define the legacy of Pennsbury’s theatre program.
In honor of Theater in Our Schools Month, State Senator Steve Santarsiero hosted Pennsbury Thespian Troupe 830 in our state capital in Harrisburg. Members of Troupe 830 in attendance shared their talent and passion as well as their advocacy to increase the recognition of theater in our community.
