PHS SPRING DRAMA
MAY 2025
Overview of the Play:
In 1880, 10-year-old Winnie Foster, trapped by the rules imposed by her strait-laced family, runs away and discovers the humble Tucks who had accidentally stumbled upon a spring long ago that gave them eternal life. Winnie promises to keep their dangerous secret, but then a sinister stranger in a yellow suit arrives at their door with intentions to steal the immortal water for himself. Ultimately Winnie must choose whether or not to drink the immortal water and join them in an everlasting adventure – or live on in a natural way, living a life full of the ordinary beauty of growth and change.

Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie, which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

Welcome to our Cabaret for the Kids! This is a cabaret put on by Pennsbury Drama in partnership with Pennsbury’s Mini-THON. Tonight, we come together to showcase the talents of Troupe 830, all for the kids. Because this event is free, we ask that those who have the means to do so donate to Mini-THON at the link above. All donations will go towards fighting childhood cancer, helping families cover bills brought on by this fight, and one day finding a cure. For more information on Mini-THON and its cause, head to phsminithon.com and for Pennsbury Drama updates check out pennsburydrama.org. Thank you all so much for coming out to watch the show, we hope that you enjoy!

Congrats to the Cast and Crew of "A Game" for being chosen as a "Chapter Select" One Act at the Pennsylvania State Thespian Festival. This means that they will now bring the performance to the International Thespian Festival this June in Indiana.
In addition to this wonderful accomplishment, Zoe Necowitz was awarded at the PA State Thespian Festival as an "All Star Cast Member" for her performance in "A Game" as well!
"A Game" by Dennis Noble - Three people accept an invitation to take part in an experiment—a game in which a small room is divided into three equal areas—one for each person. At intervals they recite a slogan: "This is my land. It is mine. It is beautiful, and it is mine." As the game progresses, we see the drive that makes each human want to possess more than his neighbors—a drive that causes hatred ... and starts wars.
Congrats to the cast and crew of “The Boys Next Door” by Tom Griffin! Everyone was amazed at your portrayal of four men with disabilities, and their social worker, Jack, as they deal with life, love, and loss. “The Boys Next Door” made you cry, laugh, and feel. Great job by all!
