Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Pennsbury School District's Pennsbury Drama Parents (PDP). All Pennsbury School District volunteers play a vital role in supporting the staff, students, sports programs, and other activities of our schools.
Board of Directors (1 year term)(attend monthly meeting):
Executive Board
President - Preside over general meetings of Pennsbury Drama Parents and PDP Board meetings, work with individual committees to fulfill their purposes in supporting the drama program, communication with Pennsbury staff and faculty where necessary to support student opportunities, work with the Treasurer to oversee fiscal expenditures and maintain fiscal stability.
Vice-President - Assist the President, perform the role of President in the President’s absence, maintain membership rolls.
Treasurer - Maintain full, accurate accounting books for the organization, record all monies received and spent, pay invoices/reimbursements, deposit funds, prepare financial statements, report financial matters to Board and membership, advise the organization on budgeting.
Secretary - Record minutes of all meetings (Board and General meetings), record votes, distribute minutes, help prepare agendas.
Committee Chairpersons
Fundraising -Brainstorm fundraising ideas, communicate with donors and fundraising contacts, organize fundraisers, communicate/publicize fundraiser information.
Donations -Solicit donations from local merchants and vendors for PDP events/fundraisers, arrange pickup and delivery of any donations.
Kisses for the Cast -Plan Kisses for the Cast for drama performances including ensuring adequate Hershey kisses and notecard supply, prepare a bag for every cast/crew member and distribute after closing performance, ensure volunteers scheduled to sell Kisses at performances.
Concessions -Manage concession supply and sale at performances, arrange for pretzel purchase and delivery, manage sign ups for volunteers to sell concessions.
Grade Level Representatives -Encourage communication/participation in fundraisers across grade level club members; attend meetings and support PDP initiatives.
Miscellaneous Volunteer Opportunities
Committee Members - meet as necessary with committee, help plan and attend specific events/activities for the particular committee.
Sell concessions at show
Adult monitor for chocolate sales table at football games
Help pickup/deliver meals for performers and concessions on show nights
