Membership

We are excited for the 2025-2026 Pennsbury Drama year! The purpose of Pennsbury Drama Parents is to support the activities of Pennsbury High School’s Thespian Troupe #830 by helping to assure that students are provided with exceptional opportunities to participate in high quality productions, attend the Pennsylvania State Thespian Conference and International Thespian Festival, and to provide scholarships to members of Troupe #830 who demonstrate excellence and passion in their pursuit and love of theater. That support is as important than ever this coming year as we look to welcome the class of 2028 with varied in-person theater experiences including favorite traditions and meaningful new theater opportunities. We are sure that both our new and returning students are eager to get back onstage and that you’re looking forward to seeing them perform just as much!

In order to achieve that goal, we need your help. There are a number of ways to get involved and we welcome your participation in all of them. First, become a member of the PDP for $25. Membership fees provide financial support for the drama program and members have a voice and a vote in our organization when you attend PDP meetings. We will also ensure that you’re kept up-to-date on all PDP happenings.

Additionally, Pennsbury Drama Parents is currently accepting nominations for our Board of Directors for the upcoming school year. Parent involvement is more necessary and appreciated than ever as we work to provide the meaningful support of Troupe 830 that is provided by PDP. Whether you have a knack for keeping a social media account engaging and up-to-date or a talent for organizing; if you have fun ideas for fundraising or are great at maintaining a spreadsheet, we need your help! Or if you have a rising freshman or sophomore and just want to get involved and learn about Pennsbury Drama Parents in a more hands-on way, we look forward to welcoming you. Nominees must be parents or guardians of a child involved in the drama program at PHS.

Board members are asked to attend general meetings (usually 2-4 a year), Board of Directors meetings (usually 6 per year) and any other special meetings that may be called.
