Sorry, Wrong Number was very well received by the judges and audience.  Some of the comments received from the adjudicators included:  Athena great build from the beginning to end - you are a young Winona!  They absolutely loved the physicality of the operators, the staging, how everyone understood their character role, and how the cast played multiple characters that were so different; Great dialect and comedic timing; Super, super solid; Excellent directing.

• Outstanding Comedic Performance - Crystal Menzies

Student written and directed, this show had everyone in stitches!   So many great moments that all started with a short skit during TNL this past October.  Some of the judges remarks:  Airplane scene brilliant!;  the physicality was so funny; Crystal shined in acting class and on this stage!; Costumes hilarious; Changing of mustcahe was so funny!; everyone was thoroughly committed;  Great ensemble piece; One of our judges is a Playwright and he said comedy is so hard to write.  But this piece grabbed him.  It was so much fun.  The airplane scene was genuine SNL!  Cece brought her character as straight as she played it, he never saw the ending coming.  It slapped him right upside his head!; Ensemble was wonderful in building this world; Lighting shift made him terrified; it was wonderful; Comic genius; Great comedic writing!

• Spotlight Award for Acting Beyond Their Years - To the entire cast

The Long Christmas Dinner adjudication remarks included: a wonderful job with such a difficult piece; Strong and Charming performances across the board; powerful lighting bringing intention and the audience in; great commitment by the cast who was committed deeply; Great job embodying aging;  wonderful job in finding the comedy and sadness of this piece.

• Spotlight Chorus Unity - Kira Smith, Bella Matthes, Jacob Mackinnon, Avi Wus and Lauren Leonard

Elektra adjudication remarks included: Intense, powerful piece of theatre; loved the unity of the chorus; smart direction; beautiful staging; loved the build of the character.  

Congrats to the cast and production team of SOUTHERN BELLE! On April 23, 2024 at the Bucks County Playhouse Student Theater Festival, the cast won rave reviews from the adjudicators and also took home an Outstanding Performance Award for Ava Mascio and the Tennessee Williams Playwriting Award to Ellie Umstead!
