What if I am teaching a course that a student is using for certificate credit?

    • What you should know if you are a faculty member teaching a course that a student is using for certificate credit:
        • Students must complete all course work as assigned and maintain a B average or higher to be able to apply the credit towards the certificate. Any academic concerns can be shared via notices and progress reports as normal protocol is required.
        • Students should alert their teacher at the start of the course that they plan on using the course for credit towards their certificate.
        • Once a semester, students will be asked to reflect on their learning in the course and how it aligns to the certificate they are pursuing. This will be posted on their online portfolio. Teachers and Advisors of courses eligible for certificate courses are not required to read, edit, or provide feedback on the reflection, but are welcome to engage with the student in conversations about how their work in the class reflect their work on the certificate.
