What if I am a faculty member advising a club or activity that the student is using for credit?

    • What you should know if you are a faculty member advising a club or activity that the student is counting towards their 80 hour activity requirement:
        • Students should alert their teacher at the start of the activity that they plan on using a particular number of hours towards their certificate. PC sponsored activities means that there is a faculty member who is present and overseeing the activity/project. The faculty member will "sign off" that the student has successfully completed the hours.
        • The activity should be relevant to the certificate theme (global studies, environmental, etc.) and it is up to the faculty member to decide if the student proposed hours count and are relevant to certificate work.
        • Certificate Advisors will be checking in with you to confirm that a student has been active and the activity hours confirm to your experience as well.
