CORE GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

34 credits required

Science - Three years (6 credits)

Required Courses & Credits in Science:

    • 2 credits - Physical Science

    • 2 credits - Chemistry or Chemistry Honors

    • 2 credits - Biology or Biology Honors

Math - Three years (6 credits)

Required Courses & Credits in Math:

    • One Year of Math 1 or Core Math 1

    • One Year of Math 2 or Core Math 2

    • One Year of Math 3 or Core Math 3

English - Four years (8 credits)

Required Courses & Credits in English:

    • 2 credits - English 9 or English 9 Honors

    • 2 credits - English 10 or English 10 Honors

    • 2 credits - English 11 or American Literature

    • 2 credits - Elective English courses

Social Studies - Three years and a half year (7 credits)

Required Courses & Credits in Social Studies:

    • 2 credits - U.S. History or AP U.S. History

    • 2 credits - Human Geography or AP Human Geography

    • 2 credits - World History or Western Civilization

    • 1 credit - Government or AP U.S. Government

Physical Education - Three years (3 credits)

Required Courses & Credits in Physical Education:

    • 2 credits - PE 9 and PE 10

    • 1 credit - PE 11/12, Strength & Conditioning S1 & S2, Group Fitness, or Peer PE

Health – One semester (1 credit)

Financial Literacy - One semester (1 credit)

Required Course - Must take one of the courses

    • Life Literacy

    • Personal Finance

Careers Course – One semester (1 credit)

    • 1 credit - one elective course through the Career Academy of Pella
