At PSU, the Instructor for the O&M practicum courses has a master’s degree and is nationally certified with a minimum of 3 years experience as an O&M Specialist.
The course instructor is responsible for delivering instructional content for the entire cohort of O&M candidates that is aligned with field-based experiences, assignments and assessments. Additional specific responsibilities of the Course Instructor are as follows:
Facilitate live webinars for O&M candidates (as with university supervisors and cooperating teachers, as needed);
Moderate and grade asynchronous discussions within Canvas;
Review submissions in Google Sites workbook/ePortoflio at the end of the course
Serve as the primary contact to clarify course assignments with O&M candidates;
Address concerns that may arise during the Practicum course.
Serve as the liaison between the O&M candidate, O&M Cooperating Professional and PSU program advisor, if needed.
Support O&M candidates, CPs, and USs in accessing and using technologies that support the course, including Google Sites and Drive.
Submit final course grade using the Banweb system.
Provide feedback on ePortfolio.
