Roles & Responsibilities of Collaborative Practicum Team

A collaborative team of professionals which include the onsite O&M Collaborating Professional, the University Supervisor, the SPED 554 Course Instructor and the PSU O&M Program Coordinator provides a coaching team for the O&M Candidate and share responsibilities for creating conditions that support his or her learning. Conditions that support learning include a welcoming environment, opportunities for accurate feedback, self- reflection, introduction to new ideas, coaching conversations, a supportive learning environment (positive relationships, safe to learn from mistakes). All team members share the goal of helping the O&M Candidate attain clinical competencies.
