In 2021, for the first time since the 1980s, Humberview Music is pleased to be offering a full four-year Guitar Program for our students!

All levels of guitar ability are welcome, from absolute beginner to rock star. Humberview owns 30 classical guitars that may be signed out to students during their semester of study.

Students study classical and popular music, technique, chord changes, musical literacy (including tablature), improvisation and recording techniques using our Soundtrap virtual recording student platform.

Grade 9 students should sign up for AMG 1O0. Grade 10 students should sign up for AMG 2O0 (they may enrol in the course even if they were unable to take the Grade 9 course the previous year. Grade 11 students should sign up for AMG 3M0 and Grade 12 Students should sign up for AMG 4M0.

Please note that the Grade 12 course is a Mixed-Level course, and counts toward both College and University acceptances. Because of this, you must have a previous years' experience in our guitar program to enrol in AMG 4M0.
