The delivery of instruction and related activities in online and distance education must be able to achieve the desired learning outcomes for the course and the program. To this end, an embedded evaluation and feedback mechanism must be incorporated in the design of the ODeT platform. The evaluation results and feedback are but a single way of ascertaining the quality of ODeT. There are several other means by which we can maintain and improve its quality. These and more shall be discussed with the participants prior to their active participation in the workshop.

Faculty-participants will be introduced to international and national organizations committed to ensure quality in open and distance education, and tools used for assessment. They will be acquainted with major areas of quality such as learner-centeredness, interactivity and collaboration in learning, quality of OERs, faculty development, continued research, efforts for continuous improvement, and International collaboration.
