Most of us have been used to preparing modules where we create or collect and compile materials such as handouts, power point presentations, written assignment, pen and paper quizzes and exams for our classes. Module development in online and distance e-teaching (ODeT) is in many ways similar with what we have been doing. This training module aims to guide us in integrating additional principles and processes in designing our class modules in order to maximize the resources already available online as well as capitalize on the teaching tools and platforms offered by information communication technology. This module shall include guides in (re)designing our learning objectives, learning resources, learning tasks, and assessment strategies and eventually putting them all together in a class module.
Objectives:
At the end of this training module, the participants should be able to:
(Re)Formulate learning objectives aligned with CMOs and PSGs that would optimize student learning experience in ODeT;
Maximize use of online materials in selecting learning resources;
Design learning tasks and assessment strategies aligned with ODeT to help accomplish the learning objectives effectively;
Prepare a class module.
Content:
Like this training module’s outline as shown below, our class modules will relatively have the same components:
Introduction
Objectives
Content
Activities
References
These are the components we will work on in this training module. We will focus on writing the learning objectives per module of a course you are handling. You will be introduced to models of writing learning objectives, some of which you may already be using. You will actually be formulating or re-formulating learning objectives in your course.
To gain access in your Google Classroom, join the class by using the class code: xuwphct
All submission of activities should be done using your Google Classroom.
After your completion of this module, we would value your responses to these evaluation questions. Thank you.
