This project taught me how to adjust the rest of my exposure triangle when action demands a high shutter speed, as well as how playing with highlights and midtones in Photoshop can make your photos look professional without filters or extensive understanding of the program. My favorite photo is A Light Refreshment, because I think I caught the splash of the water best in that one, and I like what having the lime on the left does for the composition. I had to adjust to how dark a shot can be with a high shutter speed and how to balance my aperture with a high shutter speed. The ideas for composition came from the assignment and my peers in my group. I think overall it was successful, but now that I understand it more, I could do better. With more time, I would have experimented with even higher shutter speeds and different objects/produce.

This project taught me about striking a balance between under/overexposure as well as becoming more resourceful as a photographer. My favorite of them all is An Abundance of Time, because I made it to represent how social distancing felt, how we can feel time is passing but don't know what day it is. I found it a little challenging at first when I was writing the words in the photos because I couldn't tell where I was in the flame or how long I had to write them, but I got used to it. Most of my ideas were inspired by the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. I think I was fairly successful, but I think now at the end of the course I could do better.
