Capturing Coronavirus
Capturing Coronavirus
This project taught me about the more artistic, storytelling side of photography as opposed to the technical, as well as balancing color in black and white filters in photoshop to get the desired effect and contrast. My favorite photo of the series is the first of this slideshow, Mother Sewing, because it captures the delicate, intimate practice of sewing in a time of industrial and human struggle. Each of these photos was inspired by the various in-home aspects of the Coronavirus outbreak. My main challenge in it was trying to find non-repetitive subjects, but I think I was, for the most part, successful in capturing the essence of quarantine in my home.
