College & Career

The path to your future starts now. Achieving your dreams does not happen by accident—it takes planning, preparation, and hard work to get there. We are here to help you find your individual path, because your success is our success.

Scoir

Paramus High School utilizes a college and career guidance management system called Scoir (pronounced "score") for grades 9 - 12. Scoir streamlines the process of requesting, processing, sending, and tracking the electronic delivery of all application-related documents.

On Scoir, colleges come to life through pictures, videos, and links that highlight active student clubs and organizations. Scoir exists to help students achieve more positive outcomes, and we're excited that our students have access to this system and the opportunities it provides. Ninth grade students and their families will gain access to their Scoir account in the Spring.

Career Planning & Assessments

Career planning is infused throughout the School Counseling Department's curriculum.  Students will learn about a variety of careers and take assessments built in Scoir including PrinciplesYou.  Students will also have an opportunity learn directly from professionals in the field through our Career Speaker Series.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

When considering post-secondary options, there are several resources available to assist with the cost of attendance.  Every spring and fall, the School Counseling Department hosts a Financial Aid Information Session.

College Athletics

Students who would like to pursue college athletics must register with the  NCAA eligibility center to certify academic and amateurism status.  It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they meet all academic requirements set forth by the NCAA as they differ from our school's and state's requirements.  Students and their families are encouraged to familiarize themselves with NCAA rules and guidelines as soon as possible.
