Week beginning - Monday 13th October 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week Year 5 have been looking at Vikings and settlements. We used maps to identify the location of homelands and settlements and the routes they took alongside what the Vikings called the communities they settled in.
For writing we investigated how a community such as Lindisfarne was affected by a Viking raid and produced a narrative based upon the event.
As part of our Design & Technology we have been learning about bread from different communities around the world in both the past and present. The classes researched recipes before baking them ready for parents to come in and taste.
