Year 2 had a great time creating their Wildlife Hotel this week. It was great to see the children using their knowledge of how to care for the local wildlife whilst creating the Wildlife Hotel. The children worked well as a team and used their communication skills excellently.

Year 2 have also learnt more about the difference between a fiction and a non-fiction text. They have explored a range of non-fiction texts about animals and their habitats. The children have learnt about the features of a non-fiction text and have been able to identify these in the books they have read.

In maths, the children are beginning to add and subtract a combination of one-digit and two-digit numbers. They have revisited the skill of partitioning to support them in their new learning. 

We also wanted to say a huge Thank You to all who came and participated in the litter pick and to look at the children's work. They have all worked exceptionally hard this year and really enjoyed sharing their learning with you. It was a wonderful way to end the first Module!
