Mr Moore's News Update
Dear parents and carers,
Last week saw us come together as a community and provide essential items for families through our harvest donations. The Storehouse wanted to express their thanks. It is fantastic to know that we have, as a community, really helped to stock up the shelves ready for a busy autumn and winter ahead. This is the time of year that they depend upon so many churches, schools and businesses to respond to the needs that are becoming more prevalent. Your donations weighed in at a whopping 156 kgs, thank you all!
This week has also seen us welcome you into the school to engage in class open events. These are the first of the year and I welcome feedback on how we can make the process more slick and informative, so thank you to those of you who have reached out to share feedback and the positive messages have meant a lot to teachers!
I hope you all have a brilliant half term break, I am sure filled with halloween plans.
We look forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday 3rd November for a jam packed festive term!
Yours sincerely and have a fantastic few weeks,
Mr Moore

To the left you will find a website full of ideas for activities to do with children over the October Half Term.
We are Aspens, a local charity that provides high-quality care and support to autistic people and individuals with learning disabilities, and their families.
During the October half-term, our Bluebell Café and Animal Farm in Pembury will be open every day (10 am- 4 pm) and on Wednesday 22nd October we’re running a mosaic tile decorating activity, followed by a delicious BBQ lunch (weather permitting).
As well as the Café and animal farm, we also have beautiful grounds to explore, giant musical instruments, a shady playground, and a lovely woodland walk. Our site/farm is free entry, meaning local families can enjoy a low-cost, fun day out (donations are very welcome to support our work).

#WakeUpWednesday is a campaign by the National Online Safety organisation. It's designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest online trends and platforms that their children might be using.
Every Wednesday, a new guide or resource is released, offering simple tips and advice on how to keep children safe online. These guides cover a range of topics, from popular apps and games to general online safety issues like cyberbullying and privacy. The goal is to start a conversation between adults and children about staying safe in the digital world.
We will upload these guides/resources here every week.
We're looking to spark awe and wonder in our children as we enrich our Forest School resources! 🌲🐛 To truly connect with and explore the natural world, we're asking for your help. If you have any natural treasures or resources that could inspire curiosity, we ask if you would please consider donating them. We'd be grateful for items like old nests (of any kind), abandoned wasp nests, a glass tray for safe bug observation (like butterflies or other small creatures), or any engaging books about nature and wildlife. Your contributions will help transform our outdoor learning space into a magical environment for discovery!
If you have anything you would like to donate please drop it off in the main reception.
Thank you very much. 🌳
