Each year families work with their HST to review and determine their Middle School Math Plan. We have several options for students wanting to work above grade level.
Accelerated (above grade level) math might be a good fit for your student if:
You are interested in taking a high school math course in Middle School
You score green in the Star 360
Your math CAASPP score exceed the standard
AP Calculus part of your high school math plan
Find out if accelerated math courses are right for you and your middle school student by reviewing the FAQs for Middle School Accelerated Math.
For questions regarding middle school students taking accelerated math courses please reach out to your HST.
Our school will grant high school elective credit* for high school math, world language, and CTE pathway courses taken by middle school students.
As a parent-choice school, we allow middle schoolers to take high school courses, but it is important to consider how taking courses in middle school will affect high school and college before choosing this option for your student.
Please contact your Homeschool Teacher to discuss starting high school courses prior to enrolling in high school level courses or using high school curriculum.
It is also important to speak with your HST and high school counselor to fully understand how taking a high school course in middle school will impact the courses your student will take in high school.
