Families have the choice of a variety of curriculum options. Together with your HST, review the guiding questions below in order to select the curriculum option that is best for your student.
Online or offline?
If online, would live online sessions work with student’s schedule?
Do you want a content teacher (HQT) for each course to handle instruction and grading?
Do you prefer a traditional homeschool role (choosing curriculum, providing instruction and feedback to your student, monitoring progress through the curriculum, emailing the teacher only with concerns, etc.)?
Is the student performing at grade level or lower/higher?
Does your student have an IEP or 504 Plan?
Does you prefer a curriculum that is “a-g” as is (with an outside provider), or do they prefer to use a curriculum of choice and follow the UC approved Course Outline to meet “a-g” course credit?
