Welcome to 7th Grade Film
In this creative and hands-on course, students explore all aspects of media production — from concept to final cut. Students will learn how to plan, film, and edit original projects using a professional 3-camera setup, green screen technology, and digital editing software. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, visual storytelling, and the creative process behind television and film.
By the end of the year, students will understand the full production pipeline and produce original short segments and shows that demonstrate their skills in direction, cinematography, performance, and editing.
To be ready for class and production days, students should bring:
A folder or binder for storyboards and notes
Headphones (for editing and reviewing audio)
Pencil and pen for planning and brainstorming
USB drive or cloud storage access (for saving video files)
Positive attitude and creativity!
All cameras, tripods, lighting, and editing equipment will be provided in class.
