On the 15th of May a team from year 4 proudly represented our school in the highly competitive Quad Athletics tournament hosted at Sandown Primary. This exciting event, recognised by England Athletics ๐ฌ๐ง, brought together athletes from eight different schools to compete in a series of track and field challenges ๐ .
Quad Athletics combines four key eventsโsprint ๐, distance run ๐โโ๏ธ, throw ๐ฅ, and jump ๐ฆโproviding a well-rounded test of athleticism, skill, and determination. Both of our teams, each made up of eight pupils, rose to the occasion with exceptional performances across the board ๐.
The competition was fierce ๐ฅ, including several talented county-level runners, yet our pupils demonstrated incredible resilience ๐ช, exuberance ๐, and a strong competitive spirit ๐ฅ. Their determination shone particularly in the 400m raceโthe most demanding events that require not only speed but also strategy, patience, and endurance โฑ๏ธ.
What was especially impressive was the grit and passion displayed by every team member โค๏ธ. They gave their all and represented the school with pride, sportsmanship, and excellence ๐.
