Participation Quiz

Participation Quiz is a strategy to support productive small group work on mathematics. Focus can be on how students explain clearly, build on each other’s ideas, or respond to the thinking of others.

Participation Quizzes build a robust picture of the habits, language, and actions that connect mathematical talk to increased understanding for students. Individual students learn specific language and actions that they can use to deepen their learning of mathematics in collaboration with peers.
