High School
2023-24 Secondary Math Instructional Plans
Following three years of uncertainty and ever-shifting conditions, we have emerged as a secondary math community stronger together through collaboration, innovation, and putting students first. We strive to provide quality standards-aligned math instruction to all of our students, aligned to our OUSD vision for mathematics. Our modified instructional plans offer guidance as to how to prioritize learning goals within units and take into account unfinished learning. The unit plans offer guidance as to how to prioritize lessons so that lessons that are not as closely aligned to priority learning goals can be modified or removed in order to make space for just-in-time support. We are committed to providing access to grade/course-level standards by accelerating learning rather than remediating.
This work represents the collaboration of a group of excellent math educators from our middle and high schools, and is composed of teachers, math coaches, site administration, and your central math team.
