Math Expressions
For the lesson series in the OUSD Math Core Curriculum, we use Houghton Mifflin's Math Expressions. OUSD purchases Student Activity Books in English and Spanish for all grades. Limited numbers of the Homework and Remembering Books, Teacher Modeling Kits, and Student Manipulatives Kits are all available by request. Contact Instructional Materials Specialist Natalya.Labauve@ousd.org to request these items.
All OUSD teachers can access the Teacher Guides and other materials online through the OUSD Clever Portal. Follow the directions to the right for access.

The OUSD Core Curriculum units with Math Expressions make up the district’s elementary math curriculum.
Each unit consists of three or four Key Learning experiences designed to engage students with the mathematics of the unit in ways that are different from how they were explicitly taught in class, and which reinforce the core mathematics of the unit. They also consist of sequential lessons from Math Expressions. Formative and summative assessments are embedded within the curriculum.
