Pre-Approval for External/Alternative Credit and Math Acceleration

District guidance and procedures related to external credits and math acceleration starting 2025-2026 school year. 

Courses outside of OUSD will NOT be added on transcripts unless pre-approved.

Courses that CAN be approved:

• A-G purposes

Courses that WILL NOT be approved:

• Enrichment courses through Peralta/external insitutions that are not needed for OUSD graduation

• Courses that can be taken at Oakland Tech

• Courses for acceleration (Pre-calclus, Statistics for example)
