Standardized tests can help you prepare for college, earn college credit, or meet graduation and college admission requirements. Below is an overview of the most common exams.

Fee Waivers
Students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch or meet other eligibility requirements may qualify for fee waivers for exams such as the SAT, ACT, and AP Exam.
To get a fee waiver, please email nutrition@ousd.org to request a letter indicating you qualify for free reduced lunch. Once you receive this letter, please show it to your school counselor to get your fee waiver code.
Advance Placement (AP) Exam

AP Exams are taken at the end of AP courses and may allow students to earn college credit or advanced placement at many colleges and universities.

SAT
SAT
The SAT is a college entrance exam used by many colleges as part of the admissions process. Some schools are test-optional, but submitting strong scores may strengthen an application or qualify students for scholarships.

The PSAT is excellent practice for the SAT and serves as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program for eligible juniors.

Do I have to take both the SAT and ACT?
