OUSD requires students to fulfill requirements below to graduate from Oakland Tech High School. A-G requirements is necessary eligibly for 4-year universities such as California State Universities, University of California and Private Schools. OUSD allows a D- as a passing grade but for A-G purposes, students must obtain a C- or higher.
Watch this video to learn how to calculate your GPA. This is extremely helpful for those who have taken a college course.
Remember that Dual Enrollement courses count as 10 credits per semester.

APEX: Online Credit Recovery for classes that earned the grade of I, NC, NM, D, and/or F

NOTE: only 2 APEX classes are allowed per semester (4 APEX classes in one school year). If you need more than 2 APEX courses per semester to catch up in credits, please talk to your counselor ASAP.
Summer School: A 4-week credit recovery program offered during the summer.
How do I get enrolled?
Applications are available between April and May. If you earned an I (Incomplete), NC (No Credit), NM (No Mark), D, or F in a graduation-required course, your counselor will automatically submit a summer school request on your behalf. Your parent/guardian will then have the option to accept or decline the request.I passed my class with a D. Why am I being recommended for summer school?
While a D is considered a passing grade for OUSD graduation requirements, it does not meet A-G requirements for admission to California public universities. Because of this, counselors will recommend that you retake any A-G course in which you earned a D.
Even if you do not plan to attend a four-year university immediately after high school, retaking the course may still be beneficial because earning a higher grade can improve your GPA.
Alternative Education: Transferring out of Tech to a alternative school that may be more aligned/flexible with a student's learning needs.
Example: Dewey, Bunche, Rudsdale, etc.
