Bedroom Storage Research Task!
Now that the sun has disappeared, what better time to tidy up and organise your bedroom? Use the internet to find inspiring bedroom storage solutions and inspirational images, collate your images onto a mood board and share it with me. I have included an example of a mood board to get you started. Have fun!
Before we can even start to think about designing our storage system we must consider the objects that will be stored in it. Think about what objects you plan to store. It can be anything you like. Measure them, photograph them, draw them but make sure you include the sizes (width, height, depth). Create a page manually or on google docs which displays this crucial information. Attached is an example of what this could look like.
Before we design anything we must first consider how materials are joined. Your task is to create a page showing the different types of 'wooden joint' that exist. The more you can find - the merrier. I have attached an example. Remember to share!
Weld-done young designers! I'm just nuts about all the hard work you have completed. Before you bolt for the summer I have one last riveting task to test your steel. The ability to join metal is vital in Design & Manufacture. Your mission (should you accept it) is to research the different ways that metal can be joined. During your research you are sure to iron out any potential issues, don't let your skills go rusty! Put it on a slide and share. (see the attachment for inspiration)
