Course Description 

This course is the definite guide to meeting the learning needs of gifted students and will  become your go-to resource for reaching and challenging the gifted students in your mixed abilities classroom...seamlessly and effectively with minimal preparation time. Included in this book study are more than thirty practical, classroom-tested strategies and step-by-step instructions for how to use them effectively to work with gifted students in mixed-ability classrooms, as well as Honor and AP course. This fourth edition we will be using added a chapter with an expanded emphasis on assessment and technology. Which we solely need and integrates well with other courses offered in Tiger University. It is my hope that you will end this course with a toolbox of instructional strategies and techniques that will help you provide what gifted students need - namely, a consistently challenging curriculum-- and empower you in your teaching of all  your students as well.

• Read: Teaching Gifted Kids in Today's Classroom by Susan Winebrenner.

• Submit responses to individual chapter reflection questions in the course’s Google Classroom.

• Activities embedded into some study guides include: videos and additional resources to preview.

• Share one strategy application of your choice from chapters 1-8 with colleagues using the Padlet link provided in each chapter's study guide.
