Course Description
We want all our students to have that "aha!" moment. Yet, often it seem that our TAG students are the ones that are the most bored or frustrated, which can lead to underachievement, behavioral problems, or depression.
This book study is intended to give you a brief overview of Gifted Education and how over the years, when it comes to leaving no child behind, highly gifted students are the most likely to fall through the cracks in American classrooms.
It is my hope that you will gain a renewed perspective of what giftedness looks like and discover teaching methods that nurture the intellect. I have been intentional to include many instructional resources and strategies within your study guides to support you in creating those differentiated, respectful task for our TAG students. There is also a summative list of these included at the end of this book study for your personal use.
With commitment and creativity, our gifted students can get the education they deserve, one that nurtures their talents and minds right in your classroom! Join me as we try to help our highly gifted students find ways to keep learning to the the extent of their abilities.
