This campaign started in 2007, and is created to better the horrendous working conditions that farmworkers are experiencing in the south. The tobacco used for the e-cigarette brand is bought from farms where these farmworkers are living in bad conditions, and experience horrible conditions out in the field as well. By creating contbb racts with big companies like Reynolds, there are standards set that affect the living and working conditions of the farmworkers. The growers also are a part of these contracts, because there needs to be accountability in these contracts. Recently, in 2017, there was a boycott to stop people from buying VUSE products. FLOC has consistently reached out to Reynolds, and in 2012 after six years of reaching out, they were able to get a one on one meeting. It was a good start, however, until a contract is signed there is still work to be done.
