During the Summer, I'd been tasked with reviewing the Richard Crafts Case Study and writing an essay on it. The case is also known as the "Wood Chipper Murder" and focuses on the murder of Helle Crafts, it gained traction due to Richard Crafts' unusual disposal of the body and a body being absent from the crime scene. The assignment asked that I'd address the questions in the essay on Richard Crafts' motive, the significance of the case, and testimony. Writing this essay, I'm found of my ability to properly identify and understand the use of forensic science to solve crime cases without a body.
In this assignment, it tasked me with playing a Red Herring Game called "The Barry Cuda Case". While playing the game and investigating each person, I'd gather evidence and list possible suspects with reason to murder Barry Cuda. At first I'd had a hard time connecting the dots, but with numerous witness' alibis I'd finally come to a conclusion. I'd accuse Sly Backander and Tim Burr of murdering Cuda, who owed both money and was competition; Unfortunately, that was wrong. The truth was that John Dory was responsible for the murder of Cuda. The main reason I hadn't suspected Dory and due to the lack of a weapon at the scene, instead I should've focused on the motives of each suspect and past purchases as Dory had purchases an axe recently.
