This assignment required my group to demonstrate proper calculations of serial dilution and apply it to real-life examples. The people I'd chose to work with were Kimberly and Ashley, through a collaborative effort we were able to successfully complete the project. In the presentation our group established the significance of serial dilution, going into depth on how to use it to prepare/reconstitute specific drugs as well as determining the concentration.
Despite scoring high on the assignment I'd felt there were some missing information that could've gave me a perfect scoring. This assignment tasked me with reviewing numerous patient results for testing and is a continuation of Sue Smith's case with the outbreak. The assignment was required to be written in our Biomedical Science Laboratory Notebooks and I'll admit mine didn't look the neatest, I could've made the table bigger to ensure the information was understandable. On top of that there was missing information for Alvin that was important to the case I could've added.
This assignment was assigned as an Authentic Assessment and weighed 25% of our grade, the assignment allowed us to work with a partner and I'd chose Kimberly. The project tasked us with reviewing the Case study of our selected patient, creating a poster showcasing patient's conditions/symptoms then prescribing effective treatment. We'd successfully record all the significant information on patient #5, including evidence, to properly diagnose and prescribe them treatment which I'm proud of.
On this assignment, I along with a partner, was tasked with creating a poster for Women's History Month about a significant woman who'd work in the biomedical/STEM field. The project required background information about the person's childhood and education, impact on society, and why they'd inspire us. The woman our group chose was Kizzmekia S. Corbett, a researcher and immunologist at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease. She was known for developing a vaccine for COVID-19. Despite our group establishing how Corbett impacted the world, we'd struggle with writing her legacy and including the obstacles faced. The information provided overlooked Corbett's journey and a more in-depth analysis could've been given.

This assignment required students to demonstrate a plan for the future on a biomedical career they'd pursue, displaying their ability to successfully plan and determine the cost of living. This assignment was tasked as an individual Authentic Assessment and weighed 25% of our grade. Upon completion, I scored an 80% on this assignment due to my inability to accurately plan for the future. Some of the calculations were inaccurate and overlooked causing points to be deducted.
On this assignment I'd be tasked with, given prior knowledge on analyzing graphs, using my selected graph and using the strategy format to write a data analysis. With the method I'd identify the properties of the graph, establish what it represents, and write a brief summary on what's happening. I was successfully able to interpret the graph and dived deep into analyzing the graph, the caption in specific I'd struggle with, but I managed to accurately describe what caused the outbreak/event.
