NJIT CHEM 125/125A

• The task was to create a lab report in poster format summarizing the key take away from doing out own labs at home. 

• The objective: Explore different crystal structures and then grow our own crystals. Identify which conditions produce the largest crystals in the shortest amount of time.

• The assignment fit into the overall unit because the unit gave us in insight on the history of crysals and the different ways that they grow. The assignment allowed us to put what we learned into a process are recrating what we learned about.

• From this assignment I learned how to construct a visual lab report from a expirement. This assignment is an example of how the world develops new findings of nature. 

• The components of analyzing a process that you could not put a halt to showcases my strenght to elucidate my findings and results. 

• This assignment represent important themes of presenting what you discovered, and seeing how it differed from others.

• I enjoyed this assignment because I was able to see crystals form on my own, and compare it to ones of caves. Connecting this assignment to the larger world due to its involvement of different occurance in nature and different places.

• The task of this assignment was through caculating the atomic mass using the given characteristc of elements. 

• The objective of this assignment was to develop caculations of the average mass and not for the element specifically.

• This assignment fit into the overall unit becaue it provided understanding of how atoms are classified. 

• Through completing this assignment I learned the significance of how atomic mass is written and how to approximate a value.

• This assignment challanged me to incorrperate significant figures into my answers.

• I would improve this assignment by checking my caculations, and using my work I did on a previous element to help me solve another.

• The task was to create a model to support radioactive and energy theorem.

• The objective: Students will create a model to relplica the way that energy is found on mars.

• The assignment fits into the overall unit due to the fact that is incooperates how radioative decay and fission make energy last.

• From this assignment I learned how to include all the elements of a chart, definitions, examples, and making sure that it is consice. 

• This shows my ability to connect different concepts into how energy works.

• I enjoyed this assignment because it was very calm assignment that I had a very well understanding in.

• The task was to complete a lab to observe the reactivity and density that fall from different trends of the periodic table.

• The objective was to analyze the structure of the periodic table for horizontal and verticle trends.

• The assignment fits into the overal unit because it deals with the similar properties in the periodic table.

• Through completeing this assignment I was able to explain why elements are organized the way they are due to their valance electrons.

• The assignment challenged me to complete it based on the data that I collected.

• I would improve this assignment by being more observing on what happened during the lab so that I would understand the factors in the post-lab.

The task was to build a model of a molecular shape, specifically one that you have choosen with the right structure and angles 

The objective is that students will be able to contribute the VSPER Theory to build a model out of recycable materials

This assignment fit into the overall unit due to the fact that it included everything we learned about the molecular geomerty, bond angles, and the compounds of elements

By completing this assignment I learned how the lewis dot structure can lead people to misinterpret the shape of a molecule

This assignment showcases my strenght in hands on activities and being able to visually interpating the assignment

The assignment represents alot of what I learned about the electron levels and how electrons interact with its surrrounding

I appreaciated this assignment because it was very calm and flowed into place and if needed to I would be able to present of knowledge and understandings.

This connects to the larger world because we could understand the basic chemistry like water, something everybody needs.

The task of this assignment was to build 3D molecules using the right elemnts and and develop ways to draw it on paper

The objective is that students will be able to classify the structures that go into building a molecule such as the # of bonding and non bonding pairs,the structure, and angle.

The assignment fits into the overall unit since it applies the implications of a theory in understandinf the structure of a molecule and how it looks. It allowed me to get a hands on expirence

I learned that bonds of a molecule can be bend of stright in order to go around a element so they connet and all the holes needed to have a bond

The challenging part of this assignment was actually the building, even if you had all the pieces you still have to figure out where they go. Even if they all fit, they could be in the wrong places and the picture won't be correct

I would improve this assignment by trying to build instead of watching people build it
