US HISTORY II HONORS

The task of this assignment was to conduct reaserch about a World War topic and become experts on what events took place in that context. The objective of this assignment was to inform my classmates on a topic that they did not reaserch so they can become experts on it to. The assignment fits into the overall unit due to the fact that the topic is a flexable catagory. In class we cover different wars and the topics play a role in how the wars developed overtime. By completing this assignment I learned about the advances in medicine and technology that contributed to the war and the society we live in now. It gave me details on different strategies that was used during the war. 

This assignment showcases my strenght in explaining ideas and information that I obtained from the internet in my own words. This assignment represent the important theme of advancement considering the that that overtime some of these things improved and are beneficial in our community, still being used today. I enjoyed this assignment due to the fact that the topic that I was assigned was something of my intrest. That made the information more easy for me to understand and connect to the overall unit.  

The task of this assignemnt was to reaserch events that took place during the Great Depression and construct a research paper. The objective of the assignment is to demonstrate how well we can put information that we were given together. Clearly and concisely explain the effects of the Great Depression using relevant text based evedince. This assignment fits into the overall unit by showing my perception on what caused the Great Depression and why it happened. The completion of this assignment taught me the hardships that the economic endured while, speaking on the new inventions that we have today.

The challanging part of this assignment was with the way the paper was constrcuted. Not having a thesis statement and having an unbalance in the sources that was used to support the claim. I would improve the assignment by adding a claim. Also making sure to explain the source and not just paste down evedince, following with proper APA citations.

Glow - Korean War Foreign Policy Statement - 3/30

The task of this assignment was to create a foreign policy brief based on the Korean War. The objective was to show my understanding of what happened during the cold and what should of happened. The civil war fit into the overall unit due to its topic on the civil war. There are many factors of the civil war that are present in the unit. By completing this assignment I learned about the tension between the United States and the Soviet Union. Showing how a war was carried out without the support of people.

This assignment showcases my strenght in analyzing numerical data, and being organized with my writing. This assignment represents important theme considering the fact that there's many things that should of or could of happened in the war that it supported by the evedince which this assignment allowed me to indicate. I enjoyed this assignment because the information presented was very digestable and easy to put together. This assignment connects to the larger world since there are still tension between countires which could have different resolutions.

Grow - Research Paper on Genocide  - 2/19 

The task presented with this assignment was to research a genocide and write a paper going into depth. The objective of this assignment was to analyze, interpret and inform readers on a specifc genocide filling in the who, what, when, where, and how? This assignment fits into the overall unit considering the fact that it can be connected to wars and mass killings that was covered in class. By completing this assignment I learned how the economy responded to a crisis between countires. How people resisted and failure of the governmet to recognize how their response to violence effected humans.

The challanging part of this assignment was showing my confidence in what I was writing about. Also mastering in text citations and blending the evedince I used so that the text was not centered on one thing. I would improved this assignment by doing more research making sure I am sure in myself that I understand the context.
