Writing Assessment
This assignment required us write a 5 paragraph essay in the span of 80 minutes using 2 sources. This was mainly to help us practicie writing overall and to prepare us for writing our Lit Review. The assignment was about fracking and why it is was either a good or bad form of gaining energy. It was our job to look through the sources and determine if the benefits outweighed the cons or vice versa. Although this assignment was somewhat stressful due to the tight time limit, it was still somewhat manageable, since the sources weren't
Personal Thesis Paper
This assignemnt was mainly to help us practice our formal writing through finding a variety of sources and practicing thesis writing. This was also to help write our literature review for our captstones. This assignment allowed us to write about any topic that we wanted. Although it took a while for me to think of topic that meant a lot for me, I decided to write about a game I liked: Bioshock. I wrote mainly about what made Bioshock so good and why it still has a lasting impact today. Unbeknownst to me, I would end up writing a lot more than I previously expected, with me nearly writing 6 whole pages about it without having it double spaced. This is due to me simply having a lot of fun writing it since it was based on a topic a actually cared about and wanted to talk about in some way, and I wholeheartedly believe its one of my best works.

Mid-Year Writing Task
This assignment was very similar to the writing assessment from marking period 1. For this, we also only had 80 minutes to write and essay answering a question. This specific writing task was about mental health, and how its important in terms of the youth. We were given 3 documents that we could use, all about an aspect of mental health in the youth. This assignment was quite challenging overall due to the articles being fairly long, with all of them being 8 pages or more in length. This made it somewhat challenging to write the essay, overall, due to the there being so much to read.
Rough Draft
The assignment was a compilation of a rough draft for my group's Literature Review. During the weeks prior to the project, we were working on the lit review one section at a time. The literature review had 4 sections in total, with there also being a section for the introduction. This rough draft is the culmination of all these sections. The main issue we had during writing would definitely be our citations, as we had a hard time managing them and making sure that all of our links were there.

Law Day Assignment
This project was made for the yearly Law Day Contest, which we have done every year since freshman year. The theme for this year was too focus on "the rule of law", which describes on how nobody is above the law. Like every year beforehand, I decided to create another art project, since it was my strong suit. I conceptualized a scene where two figures where standing against each other to fight. I decided to then draw Lady Justice as the good, while the emodiment of different crimes and fellonies as the bad, making them this sort of ghost creature. Although I feel as if I could've don't better on some things, mainly the look of the ghost, I overall had a good time making this despite everything, mainly due to me being able to make art in a class (and overall year) that has had a lack of it.
Writing Assessment (3/27/26)
The assignment is, once again, the same as the ones from marking period 1 and 2. We are tasked with focusing on a topic and question, given a couple of sources, and have to finish it in 80 minutes. Unlike the last two which focused on mental health and fracking, this one focuses on climate change. Although I felt fairly confident writing the essay, the confidence quickly diminished when I got my score back. My score wasn't anything abhorrent, but it was definitely not what I was expecting. When actually looking through my paper afterwards, however, I could see why more. I struggled mainly with using informal language way too much, as well as not going into what I am talking about enough. Despite my grade, these critiques I got only benefit me in the future, and assist me in continuing to improve my writing skills.

Capstone Presentation
This project has been in the works for almost the entire school year, with us working on it since close to the beginning of the year. It serves as an explanation into what our project "Beebo" actually is, basically being somewhat of a summary to our Research Paper but in a more interest, consumable way. This presentation had its highs and its lows, its lows mainly being after we presented the mid year version of this presentation, with us trying to manage all the critiques thrown our way. One of the funnest parts of this entire presentation, however, was making all the art found throughout the slides. This was because, as said previously, I haven't had many opportunities to make art this year, so this project was an opportunity to do that. Overall tho, this presentation was a great opportunity and has hopefully prepared me for whatever I may go through in college.
Capstone Presentation
The paper is the complete rough draft of my Capstone Paper. After submitting it, we were tasked with peer reviewing our papers, and ours got torn to shreads. People complained about various things such as first person, inproper spacing, punctuation, etc. This is overall one of the reasons our grade tanked. Now, despite this all overall sounding very negative, this expierience of writing this paper fully has taught me a lot. Its taught me on how to properly keep track of your sources. It has also taught me that I have to stop writing in the first person (in certain context) or just writing how I talk in general. So overall, although we did make a fairly lackluster rough draft, I did mainly give me a lot to think about on my writing.
