Fundamental Forces Advertisement
For this assignment, we were required to make a advertisement for a fundamental force. My partner and I had strong nuclear force, and we thought that it would be a fun idea to make a gym advertisement, since strong nuclear force is the strongest force. The way this is formatted is that All the weaker fundamental forces are on the left side, looking sad and disheveled, with them having captions below them explaining why they're weaker. Meanwhile the Strong Nuclear Force on the left looks buff and confident, and explains why he's better than all the others. Overall, I had a lot of fun doing this assignment, since this was really the only time I got to draw something in this class, but it was also just a enjoyable time coming up with different ideas to put on the poster. For these reasons, this assignment is most definitely a marking period 1 assignment that I am proud of.
Pre Lab Quiz(es)
These are quizzes we take before a lab, and we are required to take it so we know what to do during the lab. Unfortunately, for some of the quizzes, I didn't read the directions carefully enough, so I got some questions wrong because of this. The fact that one of these wasn't my first pre-lab quiz either makes it more of an annoyance. Because of this, I'd consider these assignments an assignment i'm not proud off, especially since these were some of the only quizzes we took.

Investigate Gravity Using Pendulums - Lab Report
This lab report was made for the aforementioned 'Investing Gravity Using Pendulums'. It was the same structure as other lab reports I had done previously. For this one, I feel like I did fairly well on. It obviously still had some errors in it that I forgot to fix, as well as information I forgot to add, but it still ended up good. For these reasons, I'd consider this assignment a glow, and I hope that my future lab reports stay at this level or exceed this.
Pendulum Pre Lab
This assignment is similar to the previous prelab, with it being required to take it before a lab so that you know what you're doing. This one was for the Pendulum Pre Lab that was shown beforehand. I actually did fairly well on this one, but it's still my lowest grade. I got two questions wrong, which left me at an 80 on it. It was due to me not understanding them, or more specifically, me not reading the guide thoroughly enough. Even though I didn't do badly on this assignment, I'd still consider a grow, and something I took from this is that I should read things more thoroughly before answering a question.

Energy Test
This assignment was a collection of all the stuff we had learned about energy, like kinetic and potential energy. Even though this assignment wasn't entertaining or enjoyable in the slightest, it wasn't that challenging and I got a good grade on it. I did do more interesting stuff this marking period, but this had the most impact on my grade, and for that, i'd consider it a glow.
Panel Question
This assignment was made for people doing the physics panel, but was overall made into an assessment. This assignment was related to the movie "October Sky", and with you having to prove Homer's reasons as to why they didn't shoot a rocket that started a fire. Although the story of this assignment is fairly interesting, I still struggled a lot with it. The last couple of problems were pretty confusing to figure out, since I wasn't really sure how to get certain variables. The video that was provided didn't really help me with solving the problem too, either because i didn't look at key details correctly or it purely just provided nothing. Either way, i did not end up doing well on this assignment, which is why i'd consider it a grow. Something I would do to improve in the future is to maybe prepare more if i had time, and to understand the topics it was showing better.

Energy to Power Cars CER
For this assignment, we were given a scenario that revolved around energy. Basically, the president had proposed a plan for two-thirds of cars sold in the United States to be electric by 2032. Now, it's your job to figure out how to generate 2100 Terawatt hours of new electricity for the state of New Jersey, while also using a form of energy generation of our choice. We would then explain this plan in the form of a CER. This assignment was one of the better ones I did this marking period, even though it was complex to find out ways to the use my energy source in a efficient way with the criteria. Besides that though, it was at least more enjoyable then most of the other assignments I had to do this marking period, since I was actually trying to argue for something rather than just a simple multiple choice quiz or test. I also got a pretty good grade on it, despite expecting something worse considering what I thought I had written was poor. For these multitude of reasons, i'd consider this assignment a glow.
Interference of Sound Waves Pre Lab Quiz
This assignment isn't anything to write home about, since it's just a simple pre-lab quiz for an actual lab. However, this assignment was especially bad due to the fact that it plummeted my grade so greatly. This is due to the fact that quizzes take up 20% of your grade. Since I got a 60 on this assignment, and had so few quizzes this marking period, it left a nasty affect on my grade as a whole, one which I can't really remedy besides possible extra credit. Although not an extremely important assignment, i'd still consider this assignment a grow due to how badly it affected my quiz average. In the near future, ill make sure to take more time reviewing so I know every single question, instead of just guessing because I didn't entirely know a concept.
